Beechdean Motorsport Claims Silver-Am Victory in British GT Season Opener at Donington Park

Beechdean Motorsport kicked off the 2025 British GT Championship campaign with a stellar performance at Donington Park, securing victory in the Silver-Am class and finishing P7 overall.

A strong qualifying session on Saturday gave us a real boost heading into race day, with pace and confidence building across every session. That momentum translated into a strong showing from the opening lap on Sunday.

Amid a chaotic opening hour filled with drama throughout the field, Andrew kept his composure and navigated cleanly through the incidents, keeping the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 in a strong position. After a calm and collected stint, he handed over to teammate Tom Wood, who continued the push forward.

Tom delivered a composed and determined drive, gaining ground, and keeping the pressure on rivals. His efforts helped secure P1 in the Silver AM class and ensured the car finished inside the overall top ten, a strong reward for the team’s consistent pace and clean execution.

“It was a fantastic weekend from start to finish,” said Andrew Howard. “The car felt great, the team worked flawlessly, and the result reflects all the hard work that’s gone into preparing for this season.”

“We’re off to a great start,” added Tom Wood. “There’s plenty of racing ahead, but this gives us a lot of confidence heading into Silverstone.”
